Lead Full-Stack Developer Intern

At the Santa Cruz-based nonprofit Your Future is Our Business (YFIOB), I spearheaded a team of four interns to successfully complete the final development phase of a career assessment tool. Utilizing React and Node.js, I led the technical implementation, including the design of Firebase architecture and query functions that efficiently stored user data and assessment results. We implemented a sophisticated weighted results algorithm that refined the accuracy of career assessments tailored to user inputs.

Additionally, I oversaw the development of numerous front-end components, adhering closely to Figma UI designs provided by our designers, which enhanced the user interface and overall usability of the tool. My team and I engaged in continual refinement of features and functionality, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the tool aligned perfectly with the nonprofit's goals. Through these efforts, we significantly contributed to YFIOB's mission of forging lasting connections between students and local businesses.
